Sorry its been so long since I wrote on here, since starting my new business with the nails, I haven't had much time to sculpt, but am getting back into the groove now.

I'm very excited to share my newest collection with everyone called "Dew Drops". Tiny sleeping fairy babies, wrapped up in a leaf covered in dew. The OOAK figurines have been sculpted and hand painted to add depth and realism to each.

Sweet little faces so peaceful in slumber.....

Who could resist these little sweeties, tiny bums in the air, and little leaf sleeping caps....

Hi Everyone...

I thought I would take a few minutes and let anyone who is interested know where I have been and what I've been up too.

I have recently decided to sign up for a course and try to make a bit of money that way. The sculpting world is a wonderful place, but hard to make enough money that we don't need a second job to help make ends meet. So I have pondered for a long while on how I could still sculpt and make some extra money to help with the bills. I decided what that would be while driving in town the other day and saw a sign advertising a course on nail enhancements. I checked around and signed up at a great school and am taking both acrylic as well as the gel nails. It is a two month course, and does not allow time for sculpting while I'm working at that, so it will be a while before I do any more babies to put on ebay.

I have also been working at promoting the children's book I've illustrated, so that has taken up quite a bit of time as well.

I hope everyone is doing well, I look forward to putting new babies on ebay soon and getting back into the clay!

Spring is in the air!!

It's another beautiful morning here where I am, and Easter Sunday to top it all off, how could it get any better than that!

Our snow is melting, and the geese are flying back after their winter vacation in the south. There is nothing better in the spring, to hear the honks of the geese overhead, then we know it is truly spring, and the long winter is at an end at last.

I have been busy making babies.....so to speak, or should I say "sculpting babies", and have had another great week on eBay with little Randy shown below.

This little guy was just a pleasure to make, with his big blue eyes staring back at me as he came to life. He measures around 6 inches, and will soon be flying off to his new home in Australia. I wish I could take him personally and visit there, it looks like an interesting place to visit.

I was supposed to be off to Ontario at the end of the month to teach a couple classes at the Canadian Doll Artist Association Conference, but found out just the other day that the entire conference has been canceled for this year due to low registration. Which makes sense, since so many of us can't afford to attend shows like that. The conference will be held next year still, and the good news is that it will be bigger and better since there is now a whole year to plan events and for people to save up for it.

I am now off to Edmonton, AB at the end of April to help promote our new children's book at the annual Spring Sale at the Butterdome. We will be there April 30th - May 2nd, we will have our very unique booth set up there, with a life size version of the Stibil Forest, complete with trees, and even Synni will be there to greet people who stop by.

Wow, its hard to believe its already March, where do the days go?!

So many new things have happened since January! Where to begin. I've recently started needle felting little bears, I have a new series of babies called "Winglings" and I am off to teach at the Canadian Doll Artist Association Conference this year.

I have recently discovered the fun art of needle felting, and have been creating miniature bears as well. These are also something new I am offering on ebay right now.

My bears generally measure around 2.5 - 3 inches tall sitting, and are a great addition to any collection.

As usual, I've been busy making my OOAK soft body babies, and as you can see below I have also made a couple tiny miniature full body babies too.Each type holds a new challenge, and I do love to change it up a bit and try new things.

Below is a picture of two little ones sold on ebay , their names are "Mia and Mason". They have gone to collectors, who I hope will enjoy them.

I've also been busy with some new accessories kits that include a bottle, blanket, soother and tiny book, fashioned after my new children's book I've illustrated called, The Stibil Forest Adventures.

Happy New Year!

I know I haven't written on here for a long while, but I hope you enjoy the new pictures I've added to the site.

The new children's book that I have illustrated, is now in print and ready for purchase on the website.

I can't tell you how exciting it is to have the book finished and up for sale. It was a long labour of love, and took almost 2 years from start to completion.

Not only do we have the book for purchase, the author, Cheryl Schenk has also created a CD which is her narration of the book, complete with background sound effects!

All the pictures for the book have been created with my sculptures, and is a truly unique experience.

Here is little Chrissy, she is appr. 6 inches, and just so sweet.

Shanequa is a 9" OOAK sculpture, what a sweet handful.

This little girl was adopted by my Mom, it was love at first site!

Jon was a joy to create, with his sweet little yawning face.

Onjalee was always trying to pull off that little hat of hers!

Chance has such big eyes, who wouldn't love him.

I really enjoyed creating Nate, with his soft features and sweet nature.

What a busy summer it has been!

I hope you enjoyed your summer as well, even though it was busy, it was nice to have the sunshine and birds. Now, the geese have almost all flown south for the winter months, and the frost has started to set in at night. Fall is my favorite time of year, but it's just too short.

The good part about winter, (I'm a "glass half full" kinda girl!) is that its easier to sculpt, not so hot that the clay melts in your fingers, and I just love the cosy feeling the snow adds. I try not to think about the icy roads, scraping the windshield, wondering if we plugged our vehicles in, and the list goes on.

I have been so busy building the website for my sculpts as well as the one for my new children's book, that I haven't been able to keep up this blog very well, so I hope everyone enjoys the new pictures.

The little girl below is named Tawnie, she is an 8" soft body baby, and sold recently on eBay as my highest selling baby so far. I had almost decided to keep her for myself, but decided to offer her there, and she lasted only 10 minutes before a wonderful customer bought her up as a "buy it now". She was a joy to make, and my first attempt at eye lashes on such a small sculpt. I may try rooting some directly in the clay in the future to see what that would look like as well, since these are a little on the thick side, but still pretty darn adorable I think.

Tawnie lives in the US with a lovely lady who adopted her and even had a little crib ready just for her.

Below are Breanna and Bianca, these are a couple tiny little girls measuring only about 4 inches in length. I don't normally do tiny baby like these, but have had these dresses for a while now and wanted to make some wee girls for them.

Meet Layton, this little guy is a 7" soft body sculpt with an attitude! ha ha

He was a lot of fun to create with that wrinkled nose and wet tongue. I am really enjoying sculpting these slightly larger babies, its amazing what kind of detail you can get into a 7 or 8 inch that you can't with a 5 or 6 inch. I am hoping to sculpt a 9 or 10 inch very soon.

As you can see, Mari is a full sculpt baby, which are a lot harder than the soft body. I designed and sewed her little hat myself, which is a feat in itself since I'm not much for sewing! ha ha She measures around 6 inches, and went to a customer in Germany, lucky girl.

Belle is such a tiny little girl, measuring around 5 inches, with the softest expression on her little face. Here you can see one of the custom soft bodies that I sell, and how well it shows on the babies.

Belle also lives in Germany now, in a different town than Mari though.

Rory is quite a little handful with those big blue eyes of hers, and chubby arms and legs. She measures around 7 inches, and lives in the US with a wonderful collector who has more of my babies.

Cameron measures around 6 inches, and has the sweetest little expression on her face, on the verge of a snooze it looks like.

Cameron lives in the US now.

Here is little Annie, 6 inches of huggable sweetness! She is such a lucky girl to go and live in Spain, enjoying the warm weather and escaping the bitter cold of an Alberta winter. Her new home is with a lovely family, and home to a great artist who creates OOAK Mini Teddy bears, which I am proud to say, I have had the joy of adopting and just adore.

Did you hear about my new children's book??

I would like to share with you my new children's book coming soon!

Here is what the cover looks like:

It was written by Cheryl Schenk and illustrated by myself. For the illustrations, I sculpted all the characters and much of the scenery in the book, then photographed all the scenes for the story.

Stibilville is a happy, playful village, tucked away under the maple trees of

I would like to share a few pictures with you of a couple of the latest little fellows I have sculpted and sold on ebay.

First is little Ricky, he was the last little one I listed on ebay in June, before I got busy with the exhibit and book. I had so much fun sculpting him with his little tongue sticking out and that funny little smirk on his face. A wonderful customer of mine bought him for her Birthday, I was so pleased she chose one of my dolls as her gift!

He measures appr. 6 inches, and is a soft body baby.

Below is Shayne, he also measures around 6 inches long, and has also gone to a great home. He has got some of the fatest little cheeks EVER!! ha ha

I have been so busy with my exhibit and the book, that I missed a couple weeks on ebay with my babies. Hopefully I can keep up with them now.

Finally made it back here!!

What a crazy month it has been in my world, I have been working hard to get an exhibit together of all of my dolls and get that set up. I have designed a new series especially for the exhibit called Garden Trolls. They measure approximately 6-7 inches each, they are whimsical little creatures from my imagination. Have ever set down your little shovel, or packet of seeds and then only moments later discover that they are not where you left them?Or how about that watering can running off on its own......? Well, I think its the garden trolls, they sneak in, and take great pleasure in rearranging your tools and seeds. So this little series is all about them.

I didn't have time to take a pile of good pictures before setting up the exhibit, so I will have to post some new and better ones in October when the exhibit comes home.

Here are a few pictures anyways....

This little guy (below) hasn't quite been finished, no clothes yet! oops...

Sorry the pictures aren't of the greatest quality, but hopefully you get an idea of gross they each are! ha ha

Did you catch the one with my dog who decided he would also like to be in the picture with the little troll sleeping in the shovel he stole?

These will be set up for the months of June, July and August, in the display cubes at the QEII hospital. I also have a display for a few of my larger art dolls, as well as a large display of my babies in McKenzie Place.

Also, I entered the pictures of the first two trolls at the top, in the Global Dolls Artist annual contest and won 1st place! Thanks to the coordinator's of the contest for putting it on, I really appreciate you choosing my characters.

I have been staying busy with the mini OOAK babies, as well as the new childrens book my Sister and law and I have been working on. A troll of unquestionable beauty!!

You may not think she is the most adorable creature you have ever seen, but to her fellow trolls, she is beyond beautiful, she is a site to behold! With flowing lavender and mint green hair, and painted ruby red lips, what troll could possibly turn away from such an exquisite creature as "Soria Moria".

She wears a simple outfit, but anything more would just be showing off in front of the other troll ladies! She does however, take particular care of her finger and toe nails, making sure they are always painted to match her flowing mane.

This One of a Kind creation was sculpted from Prosculpt, and was such a fun project to do!

I wanted to pass along to everyone how excited I was to be selected as the "Featured Artist" for the month of February, at Global Doll Artists!

If you haven't already gone and checked out the web site, take a minute now and go see whats new with many wonderful artists. This is an awesome website, and the people there are all so very nice to chat with. I have found that it is close knit, and helpful, and everyone is very encouraging to everyone else, which is sometimes a rare thing to find.

I have settled back in after the trip, and have been staying busy getting ready for my next exciting year in the sculpting world! Last year was a whirl wind, with so much happening throughout the whole year.

I illustrated a childrens book with my sculpting, which will hopefully come out later this year, so please come back often for more news about that. I recieved my "Master Doll Makers" certificate, and traveled to the US for the first time. I created a life sized witch for Halloween, and two 18" Santa dolls and won an Honorable mention in the annual Prosculpt Santa contest with one of them. I created countless OOAK babies, packed them up and attended the IDEX show in Orlando Florida for the first time.

Phew!!! I'm getting tired just remembering all that went on! ha ha

It was a great year, so this year I am looking forward to getting back on e bay and will be offering many new little treasures through out the year.... I am also attending some local festivals, where I will be demonstrating my sculpting with polymer clay, and hope to entice some new people into this wonderful art form. I have some shows lined up to show case my work, which is very exciting, so there is much to do. Also, of course there will be the new childrens book coming out hopefully later this year. It was a lot of work, but it will be great to finally hold it in my hand.

I will also be getting a website up and going very soon, and hope that you will all come and see me there as well. I am hoping to have some of my art for sale there, as well as some new doll making items for those of you interested.

I have a line of custom miniature baby bodies coming out very soon, and will be offering them on ebay as well as my new website. I also hope to have a line of mini baby doll clothes as well very soon.

Well, here I am, back from the sunny south!!

I was busy sculpting and getting ready for the big IDEX Doll show in Orlando Florida, packed my bags and my babies and away I flew. I enjoyed the sunshine, along with the warm temperatures of the coast, but now am back and enjoying our warm weather here at home.

I met so many wonderful artists at the show, and was lucky enough to be one of the ladies to attend an 11 inch full sculpt baby doll course put on by the talented and very nice Pat Moulton! I have to say, if you ever have a chance to take a class from her, you should really try and do it! We giggled and laughed through out the entire class, as well as learning a great deal too. She is an awesome teacher, and an all around great lady, and it was a real honor to meet her.

Because of the economy now, sales were down this year, but making all the new friends that I did really made up for it. I got to meet many of the big names in the industry, and hope to keep in touch with them in the future, and call them friends. I had a wonderful chat with Sherry Rawn, who makes the most adorable babies you've ever seen. She stopped by the booth and her and her son chatted for a long while with us.

Getting ready to go to the IDEX Doll Show in Orlando, Florida...

Hi, thanks for stopping in to see whats new here on my blog. Christmas and New Years are over, and its back to work for most of us.

I have been busy getting ready for an exciting trip to Orlando, Florida to attend the IDEX Doll show being held there from January 29th to February 1st, 2009.

This will be the first time I am attending the event, and will be there with the "Professional Doll Makers Art Guild", where I have a section of table to display my dolls. For this event I will be taking mostly baby dolls, as they are my newest passion. I have some ready to go, and am working on more for display there. I will be taking along some 11 inch babies, all the way down to some tiny minis as well.

This is so very exciting for me, this is actually the first doll show I have ever been to, and am really looking forward to meeting some new people there. I have signed up for a class to sculpt an 11 baby with Pat Moulton, who is a world class sculptor, and can hardly wait to meet her.

I am travelling with my wonderful sister Cheryl, and are looking forward to a few extra days in Orlando to visit some of the attractions like Sea World, and Universal Studios. I have never travelled, and am so happy to have someone who has, so I know the trip will be relaxing and fun.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I have been staying busy with my sculpting, and would like to share some of my latest sculpts with you.

I have made 2 Santas this Christmas and some mini babies as well.

This First Santa is enttitled, "He knows what you are dreaming.....".

Santa is standing holding a dream in his hand, he is wearing a long off white coat over his traditional dress of green pants and red velvet shirt. He stands 18 " tall, and has won an honorable mention in the annual Pro-sculpt Santa contest on {www.artdolls.com}. Which is Jack Johnstons website.

He has been sculpted without the use of molds, and his entire costume has been hand sewn by myself. He has been made with beautiful blue eyes made from glass, and his hair has been carefully attached each small peice at a time.u enjoy the pictures.

Here is the second Santa I sculpted, he is entitled " Follow the Stars....."

He is my interpretation of a Nordic Santa, he is out on his snowshoes, and decides to stop for a little rest and check his compass.

He has been sculpted from Pro Sculpt also,and is 18 " tall, I also sculpted his snow shoes from copper tubing and Magic Sculpt to make them strong. My Mom helped with the costume on this doll, she sewed the little flanel shirt he wears, and I made the rest of the costume. He has the same great blue glass eyes as the other Santa, which really bring life to the sculpture. He carries with him a small bone handled knife, with its own tiny sheath.

Well, Christmas is just around the corner, everyone is busy running from one thing to the next getting ready for the special season ahead!

I've been busy getting ready for the Christmas season too, I have 2 Santas on the go, and some new little baby dolls as well. I will be offering these One of a Kind family treasures at the Centre for the Creative Arts in Grande Prairie. I hope you can find time to drop by and check out all my newest Christmas Creations.

Here is a new little mini baby I have sculpted, I can't show all of them, since I would like them to be a surprise on the galleries opening night show.

I thought I would also gather up a few of my earlier works all together in a neat little collage to show you. These were made over the last 5 years or so, and are still some of my favorite pieces.

New Classes Offered....

I hope you will join me at the Centre for Creative Arts for my new classes beginning in January. We will be creating a character head from polymer clay, you will learn the proper proportions of the head, as well has how to make your sculpts with more personality.

In February, we will be sculpting a miniature baby doll approximately 6 inches long. Everyone will go home with a cute and cuddly baby doll.

In December I will be teaching some fun Christmas classes for kids as well as adult classes. These classes are not as intense as the others, they are suited to anyone who has never handled clay before, or just wants to get into the Christmas spirit.

I hope everyone had a spooky Halloween!

I was busy getting into the spirit of the season, and completed my very first "life sized sculpt" .

Her name is "Violca", she is from the old country, and is a true "One of a Kind" witch.

Her head has been sculpted over a skull made of tin foil covered by Magic Sculpt, and the eyes have been sculpted and hand painted by myself.

Her long creepy hands have been constructed of tubing and wire, all covered with Magic Sculpt and then sculpted over with polymer clay.

After the sculpting was done and baked, I spent a couple days just painting her to look more realistic, including tiny veins on her hands, as well as age spots everywhere.

She is was sitting in The Centre for the Creative Arts in Grande Prairie, AB.

I had so much fun making this sculpture, and hope you enjoy seeing her.

"Master Doll Maker Certificate"

It has been an exciting few weeks for me! I have recently returned from the United States with my "Masters Doll Makers Certificate", and couldn't be more pleased.

I was chosen in June to attend the Johnston Original Artdolls Academy, and successfully completed the requirments for the Master Sculpting Course there, and recieved my Certificate.

At the Advanced course in June I completed an 18" Art Doll of a Norwegian Sami Grandma, and so at the Masters course I decided to work on an 11" baby sculpt. I had made many miniature babies over the years, but had never tackled a larger version, and I must say it was a lot of fun to sculpt. I met many wonderful people at the course, and look forward to seeing them again in the future at Doll shows and other events.

Below is a picture of my completed "Baby Sculpt", I have named Benjamin .

I have since completed another 11" baby sculpt and will be listing it on Magnolia Lane Doll Auction site. "Grandma Sami"

I wanted to share some pictures of my finished art doll that I made at the Jack Johnston doll making course held in Calgary in June.

This wonderful lady is a recreation of an old Sami woman, from Norway. I sculpted the face and body while at the course in June, I then did some research on these interesting people and hand sewed the costume as close to the pictures as I could. She is shown here sewing beads on a leather mitten for one of her grandchildren.

She has been sculpted from Pro sculpt, her dress is royal blue velvet, with red cotton accents, and finished with lots of embroidery.

I hope she embodies the spirit of these remarkable people, and that you enjoy the pictures of her.

Lil' Bum-Kins

Lil' Bum-Kins are my newest series of miniature collectible figurines. These adorable little sculptures measure only 3 or so inches tall. They are each sculpted from polymer clay, without the use of any molds. They are then meticulously painted with acrylic paint, then antiqued and finally sprayed with a matte finish to seal in the colors. None have faces or hands.

These One of a Kind creations are fun to collect. Use them to decorate , set them up against a picture frame, a vase, a candle, or anything thing in your home for an added western touch. They also make unique and wonderful gifts for that special person.

Each Lil' Bum-Kin comes to you signed and dated by the artist.

Jack Johnston Course in Calgary Alberta - June 6,7,&8th

I've just returned from very exciting weekend in Calgary, taking a 3 day course from the Master Sculptor himself, Jack Johnston!! It was a busy weekend, with lots to learn and do, I along with 5 other ladies all walked out of there on Sunday with a fabulous new doll and the knowledge to create more in the future.

We started on Friday morning, we sculpted the head and by afternoon we were learning to wig our dolls properly. Saturday was no less exciting as we started on the hands first thing in the morning, and returned from lunch that day to work on our feet. Sunday morning came early again and we began to sculpt a soft posable body, which was very interesting for me since I had never made one before. When we were done forming our body we then attached all our limbs and then the head , and there we were taking pictures of one another and our newly formed 18" dolls!

This was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone out there interested in doll making to go and take Jacks course. This was the first time I have been able to attend a course of any kind and have been self taught up until now, so i was excited and pleased when Jack invited me to his Professional Course he puts once a year at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have signed up and can't wait to go.

Below is the face I sculpted on Friday, I am making an old woman, she has no hair yet in the picture, so looks a little strange. Ha ha

I can hardly wait to finish her costume, and put her all together. When I am done, she will be a "Sami" woman, which are people who live in Northern Norway, Sweden and so forth. They are much like the Inuit we have here in Canada, except they were mainly reindeer herders. I have been doing some research on the internet to find the proper costume, it will be a challange to make, but she will be very interesting when I get her done.

Babies, Babies, and more Babies..........

I have been busy lately with a new fasination.......babies!! I have been watching other people make them for years and on websites and ebay, and always wondered what was so interesting about them, and then I made one!

I can not explain how drawn I was to it the moment I finished curing it and held it in my hands, I just sat and starred at the tiny little thing I had just made, and had to make more. The picture above is of two tiny babies a boy and girl, they measure around 5/8ths of an inch long, and are by far the smallest I have ever made. I was very pleased with how they turned out, they were purchased by a wonderful customer from the United Kingdom and now reside with her and her daughter.

Below are a few pictures of some other little ones I have made, and have found homes in various parts of the world.

This little guy is named Jacob, his measures around 2-2-1/2 inches long.

He is also living in the United Kingdom with the two tiny babies seen above.

Below is little Kaden, he is about the same size as Jacob, and as with Jacob, I really had fun sculpting this baby.

He lives with his new family in Hawaii US, what a lucky little guy!

Now that I had made all those boys, it was time to have some little girls join the fun!

Below is Little Lola, unlike the younger babies above , she is a toddler, and loves her toys. I made all the toys out of clay, and you can see all the babies are on tiny little blankets, and some have very tiny hats, these were all knitted by my Mom, who does a wonderful job at it.

Lola now lives with a very nice family in Los Angeles ,US.

Next came Lexi.....

I had so much fun making little Lexi, with her soft features and cute little pink accesories. She also measures around 2" long, and is one of my favorite babies so far.

She lives with her new family in the United Kingdom with some other babies I have made.

I will try to keep updating with pictures of my newest babies as they come.

2008 is here! How time flies......

It's hard to believe another year is past , and a new one has begun again, how time does fly. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and are looking forward to this year.

I have many been getting back into sculpting after the holiday season, with all the sales and general holiday running around I hadn't had time to sculpt for a month or more. I am excited about this new year, I have made plans to go to Ontario in April for the Canadian Doll Artists Associations annual Conference, and can't wait to go. I have much to do before I hop on the plane since I am planning on taking many items with me.

I have also got back on ebay and listed a few new things, a few little fairies, as well as #3 fairy in my Guardian Fairy Series. Her name is Aurinia, and she stands around 7" tall, with beautiful flowing red hair. She is a caller of animals, the first in the series was a "seer" and the second was a swords woman.

Aurinia was listed on ebay Jan.27th. Enjoy the pictures.

I have been very busy getting ready for my upcoming Christmas show at the Crystal Centre in Grande Prairie.

If you have time to stop by it runs Nov.29th to Dec.1st.

Every year I get a table there, and I try to change my items so it is not the same things every time. This year I have a wide variety of items to appeal to just about anyone.

Snow Babies holding various signs to say Merry Christmas to Grandparents, Mom & Dad, Aunties Uncles, Sisters and Brothers. Others are for Babies first Christmas, as well as Disney characters, Christmas items, and an entire line of International Snow Babies holding flags from different countries.

I have a large selection of Little Penguins , holding items such as teddy bears , all the way to a few with flags. Also new this year are my recycled Christmas bulbs, which are now beautiful ornaments for your tree. I am also including an exclusive line of Lil' Bundle Babies, which like everything else are "One of a Kind" items, and wonderful collectables to keep or give as a gift. Each is signed and dated by the artist.

I have a selection of fairies to delight the girls in the family, some are already sculpted, and others are in kits just waiting to be created by loving hands.

I have a selection of jewelery as well, from Christmas earrings, to fairy necklaces.

"Zulema" Guardian Fairy.

This is my first large fairy, she stands appr. 7-1/2 inches tall not counting her wings, and the base. She is a guardian fairy checking out her seer stone to make sure everything is as it should be in her forest.
I plan on adding an entire line of warrior fairies to the collection. They are very unique and different than what you would normally see in fairy sculptures, which is what makes her so special.
The armour takes many hours to place on the sculpture, I like to make sure both sides are exactly the same so she is balanced from whatever angle she is viewed from.

Gallary # 4 Fairies

Here are a couple of fairies I have made , the baby one sleeping on a nest of feathers was made last year , she was my very first fairy. The cute little fairy named "Naysa" was created just this month, she is about 3" tall and has soft pink hair with vivid blue eyes. Her wings are made from liquid clay and pearlex powders. She is not for sale, since I can't seem to part with her. I will be maing some that will be available to purchase in the future, and will be posting it here when ready. Thanks for visiting my site, this is my first attempt at a blog spot, so please excuse any mistakes or problems with navigation here.

This site is devoted to my passion....polymer clay , and all the wonderful things you can create with it. I started working with polymer clay in 2001 and have been obsessed ever since! Once you sculpt your first creation, you will be hooked.

It all started with a trip to the huge craft store that had just opened in the city, I thought it might be fun to try something new. I wandered through every isle, and came upon the clay, I had always loved playing with Plasticine when I was a kid, and thought it would be fun to try something you could harden in your own oven at home. I bought a few colors and a book, went home and made a little raccoon and moose. Since then I have acquired many books , complete room dedicated to my clay (and this computer of course) and pounds upon pounds of clay and accessories.

I come from a family of artists, my mother has many interests including painting, knitting, candle making, and the list goes on and on. I have three brothers , one works with wood making chests and other items, as well as carving wonderful wood spirits. The oldest of them works with metal, making furniture and awesome sculptures that have won many awards. I also have three sisters, who are also all artistic, one is an oil painter, one can draw amazing pictures and the other works with wood and ceramic.So as you can see, there is just no getting away from being creative in this family.
